Amanda + Jake: True Love {Jacksonville, NC Engagements + Wedding Photographer}

This morning I set out very EARLY in the morning to photograph one SWEET couple. Our day was ANYTHING but dull. It included confetti, dog poop, and STARBUCKS. (Who doesn't like  Starbucks?)

Getting off on a side note... EVERYONE MUST try the Vanilla Spice iced chia tea.

Back to the this awesome session... We started out at 630 at Starbucks to get energized and ready for what is to come. after that we hit the park in JUST enough time to see the sunrise. along the way, amanda MAY have stepped in dog poop... BUT because there was so much dew on the ground... it came right off and that was the end of that. but here is the FULL PEEK into this sweet sunrise session.

Resolutions, Photographs, and Good Company. {Beaufort, NC Engagement and Wedding Photographer}

Lately, I have been thinking that 2013 will be a HUGE year over here at HNP.
I have decided that in order for it to be as big and FULL as I hope for I have to make it myself.
I have decided that my resolutions will be set MONTHLY and for the month of January, I will be giving up SODA AND REGULAR COFFEE. I LOVE the flavor and have decided to allow myself to have decaf every once in a while.

I hope EVERYONE had a GREAT new years.  I spent mine with FUDGE and good company. My husband and I were joined with some friends to make a trip to the OUTER BANKS. (OBX)

But to our knowledge the island of Ockracoke had just opened back up a WEEK PRIOR.  That meant, there was NOTHING on the island that was actually opened.  We went to see the beach, museums, and lighthouses and all we really saw was construction, boarded homes, and "For Sale" signs in businesses windows. This broke my heart. The devastation of hurricane Sandy was still taking a toll on our beautiful east coast.

But we made lemonade out of lemons and traveled all the way from the top to bottom and landed in the afternoon in BEAUFORT, NC for a mini couples session on the docks in their historical DOWNTOWN!
